What does PR stand for in tire size?

/ What does PR stand for in tire size? #11
The radial tires are generally better at all things - tractor, truck or car. BUT they cost more. That's why many - if not most - heck, maybe all-> SCUT's, CUT's and UT's have bias ply tires on them when bought new. Large field tractors have radials as the fuel savings is huge over the life of the tire. (a 3-5% savings is a big deal in a 350 hp diesel that runs 1500 hours or more a year!)

"our" tractors don't see that use and the fuel savings are not that impactual - and the performance benefits are also small as "we" don't typically push the machines to the edge on a regualar basis where that difference is important.

So the answer is that radials are better, but for our uses few people will ever notice the difference.
