I have this lined LLBean barn coat. Mine is 10 years old. Except for a minor stain or two, it has held up great. It is a bit pricey though... I expect mine will get another 10 years easy though. My liner removes easily too...

otherwise, try a western feed store. The one by us has similar lined and unlined jackets. I got mine before I found them at our local feed/western wear though.

WOW... $90 for a coat to wear while crawling under the tractor....

The boys at the Feed Store would take away my membership card...

one of my favorite places is Duluth tradeing company.

specialize in outdoor/work wear. VERY rugged, well priced and extremely well fitting. much better than avg work wear.

I know what you're talking about but haven't seen any unlined ones in awhile myself. I've got a lined Carhartt that has had a lot of miles put on it. I usually require lined because in the winter I'm a little thin skinned! I'm thinking that our local farm and ranch store might have them unlined. Steve found one for $35 and that sounds about half off of a yuppie price!:D:thumbsup:

"...thin skinned..." ?

Dude, if you can do your winter chores in Seminole County in just a blanket coat, you've got your furnace pretty well stoked...

I visited some kin in Chouteau one January...it took me till May to defrost...

I have been looking for a new Chore Coat fir about a year now. Not much luck. Finding one lined I can find. But unlined is almost impossible. Went to a local work wear store. Asked where Chore Coat were located. Got a blank look from sales person (under 30 years old). I must be getting to old to go shopping for a outdoor work coat. :confused2:

I guess we are lucky up here in the Great White North as we can still buy Dickies and a variety of others. My fav's are "Tough Duck" which is the Canadian version of Carhart and just as good. I like them most because find the lighter fabrics by other brands get torn when I do stuff.

They can be had pretty cheap if you watch for sales. I never pay more than half the regular price by waiting for TSC special deals. They last forever.
