What feature do you hate about your truck/suv?

I am about to do the 50th oil change on my 03 silverado. 1st 100,000 miles changed each 3000. 2nd 100,000 changed every 6000. Brakes, radiator and water pump, light bulbs and shims in the rear are the only problems in 200,000 miles. I hope it will continue till I can afford another purchase.

We have a new Ford Transit van. We use it to haul 3D printers so max load might be 1,500 lbs.

TPMS requires 70 psi in the rears. Maddening.

I have read very few of these replies so excuse me if someone else already mentioned the Toyota Tundra oil filter arrangement. Instead of a spin-on oil filter, they used the old fashioned can filter with a cartridge insert. What an awful mess it is to change the oil. Oil gets spilled even if extra careful and if the dealer does it there's all sorts of overtightening issues that can go wrong. You have to torque two times; the canister itself and the drain plug for it. Make sure you get the "O" rings in the right grove or it will leak.

Worse, to get to the oil filter you have to drop a splash pan of heavy steel. It's such a hassle that unless someone invents a canister adaptor, I don't plan on buying another Tundra. It's that big of a mess. A typical oil change takes 15 minutes for the good stuff and an extra 20 minutes to jerk with the splash pan and oil filter.

bcp--Thank you. That news makes my day but life a whole lot easier and an oil change will again be looked forward to. The Tundra can stay and now there really is nothing else wrong with it.

Even better, I can set up a remote location and not have to remove the splash pan. Impressive.

Also ownered a Tundra before I bought my 3/4 ton - that filter was a massive pain and putting that skid plate back on and getting all the bolts in place while laying in gravel on my back was less than fun! The spin on adapter looks like a great solution for sixdogs!
