What fluid to use in HST

/ What fluid to use in HST #11
Ok after trying to start the tractor and failing until I found that I had moved the pto lever and never realized it. Spent an hour with a friend trying to figure out what had failed on the new tractor. It was me.

You are not the only one that has done this.... In my case it is to easy for a Tired old fat man to bump that lever while mounting and dismounting.

Oil type: Like others have stated most universal hydraulic and transmission fluid will work. Like bigfoot I used Mobil 424 since I have a large Mobil warehouse close.

This is rich blood for my tractor Z. Would cost me close to $500 (10 gallons with shipping ) just for the oil to do mine with this. Might be one thing if you never had to change it again but I doubt that. Good stuff I'm sure.
Fyi - It would cost about ($406msrp) for 10 gallons (2 each 5-gal pails) and the shipping is free over $100, about $100 less (incl S&H) is you are a preferred customer.

Call your local oil suppliers with the spec, they will recomend something. Synthetic is a good choice, dont need to be Amsoil.
