:thumbsup: when all you have is a hammer, everything is a nail :thumbsup: Those little 8Ns as well as the little Masseys, Farmalls, JD, ACs, etc. got A LOT done.

My second tractor was a front distributor 8N and it was great for what it was. For it's era, it was state of the art. I would not know what I know now were it not for that tractor.
I'll bet half of them are still running. Maybe not used daily, but capable of it if needed.

Six, I doubt if 10% of them are still running. Actually when I think about it, I'll guess less than 5% of them are still running.

I'm certainly not an 8N hater. Things were changing at a fast pace back then. It simply got improved on at such a dramatic pace that it became ineffective.

No 8N experience but very fond of my Jubilee

A Jubilee is light years ahead of an 8N. An example of my comment above.

Dad only had an 8N for 40 yrs before he got his 641. For 200 acres.

agreed, I think many posters on here have not given the 8N its due, or have their own personal bias in their comments.

I could make my 8N dance in very tight spots while I was using it to move soil and finishing off 7 acres of lawn, much easier than my Bobcat could do, of course the Bobcat can do things the 8N couldnt.....
