Before and after. 2 swipes about 30 minutes. Garden approx 30x80. Still got bunch more to do and need manure.
Its dug little over 4 inches now with my rear guard (weighs about 40 lbs) down, next I will lift guard up a bit (held in place by solid chain) and hit 6 inches or so.
Then I will put about a 4 inch layer of horse manure over it and till it in.

Tillers are amazing though, I wish I could justify one just to flatten out some lumpy land I have, but nah.

well good sir, I would advocate buying one JUST IN CASE LOL
I'm actually going to be leveling an old garden fro a friend soon with it.
only thing that caught me by surprise (not sure I am a fan of this) is the woods tiller is 6.5 inches wider on the right side from center of pto gearbox. so with tiller mounted with pto shaft straight line to tiller left side tire hits tilled ground by about an inch R4 tires) and right side overlaps tires by 6 inches. I didn't notice that at first.
now with that being known I can always do one direction tilling and leave it much neater if desired.

unloaded horse manure from trailer. my 7x14x2 trailer rated for 1850 cargo, I normally carry 2000 and springs compressed just under half.

Full_Manure_Approx_7_YDS.jpg

springs bottomed out at approx 3/4 load, since I only have to go 3/4 mile on backroads I always finish loading and drive 15-20mph.
this is carrying, by pure volume, 7 cubic yards. approx 3800-4000 lbs.
I load it at horse barn with a 30hp deere hydrostatic drive then when ready to unload I put jackstands under rear of trailer and drive the GC2400 into it to unload.

this was me prepping to backdrag some from front of trailer.

so far friday night and saturday morning I have taken 21 yds, 9 went onto garden and rest creating a new mulch pile. I will prob grab another 20 yds next weekend making my mulch pile approx 32-35 yds.

Well, I guess it's official: Winter is over. Removed chains yesterday, next will remove blower and service/repair that for next year. Hope it stays warm; I can remember big snow storms in April & May in years past....

Yep, you called it... looks like we're due for several inches of wet stuff Thursday & Friday. Guess I'd better finish up changing the reduction gear sprockets & chain on the blower... and put it back on....
