Back when I was very young (12?) and just starting to drive our International H, I was dragging a disc around and cut it back really sharply at the end of the field. As I came around I looked back and saw that I was just about to run over a 3 ft. tall Junction/Test box that allowed access to the underground power line! Had to unhitch the disc and drag it backwards with a chain while watching to make sure my Father didn't see what I was doing and why!

Saturday I hit the corner of my lean-to with the bucket (left side), pulling back in I hit the right side.:mad:

Let's see...

- Bucket tooth through little shed wall while pulling out tree next to shed
- numerous nicks on big shed door from bucket while backing in
- Crushed gutter on wood shed with FOPS
- Crushed drip edge, tore a shingle and compressed a 1" thick piece of pine 1/2" thick with the FOPS while the front end went for the sky. but didn't tweak the structure at all (on big shed - that thing is really well built!)
- Snapped fence post off when squeezing through a gate that was a little too small
- destroyed a fence I forgot was there and found out 3 months later when the snow melted.
- Don't even remember how I broke the bucket level rod off but it's gone
- rubbed away part of a beam in the barn that is 1/8" lower than top of tractor (tires compress that much right!)

I think that's enough to admit too for now. But I've never knocked out my wife with a BH!!!

No damage to the tractor, but while filling in a section of a small ditch, I forgot to raise the stand on my back blade. Graded the whole ditch and it looked great. Then I noticed the stand for the back blade. :pullinghair: Yep, I was pissed. The blade was virtually brand new.

I finally convinced the wife i needed a newer tractor in 2011, i had contacted dealer to keep an eye out for a used one with low hours. He got an 07 JD 5303 with 158 hours on it & the bucket loader looked brand new, the 3 pt arms looked like they had never been used.
Years back, i had removed an old fence and the only remnants of the fence was one T post that i had drilled with a jackhammer & pounded the post in, still had the plate on it that goes into the ground for support, never once came close to that thing with the other tractors.
With 185 hours on the newer one, i promptly backed the left rear tire into that post plate & cut it all to pieces. I had been thinking about pulling that post with the loader, $700 later with the new tire, i got it pulled, wife wasn't happy.
I put the $700 T post on the wall in the shop as a reminder. Like a lot of you, i could go on & on:eek:

Hit an unknown, broken off tee post. Punctured left rear tire.
Backing into the barn, zagged when I should have zigged and hit door trim with the grapple edge. Does not show when the door is closed.
Bumped the sliding door with the corner of the bucket.
Mowing with brush hog along the side of the barn, turned away too quickly and the brush hog bumped the barn.

The day I got my first tractor (L3800), I pulled it up into the carport and went in the house for a while. This one is wood posts with stacked faux stone bases, with real roof that is attached to the house (more like an unfinished garage). Anyway, upon backing out and turning (looking behind me) I hit one of the beams with my loader and knocked it completely out not realizing this new geometry. Took me quite a while to get that thing put back in place. Had to cut about a 1/4 off the end and really force it back into place under load. Good news was I finished before my wife got home and the stacked stone all stayed attached completely to the post, so it doesn't look like anything ever happened.

Another time while still very new, I pulled into the garage like normal and my 72" box blade side swiped my kids' golf cart, denting its rear quarter panel for good. Tractor was like 60" wide. Forgot that box blade stuck out wider. Learned quick though. Haven't done any other really stupid stuff since.

While loading branches into my utility trailer using my QA forks (tilting down) they fell off hitting the trailer fender and my brush guard. Guess who always makes sure he locks the QA now. :duh:
