Too many to list, but fortunately none of them serious or costly. They all seem to involve looking forward when I should've been looking back, or back when I should've been looking forward.

Fun to read thread... ..... The there was the time I TKO'd my wife with the backhoe boom... We won't talk about that one.:confused2:
Yea better let that one alone & not mention it ever, especially around her. Kind of gives new meaning to the term " Back Ho"
;)

Was cleaning out a horse stall in the corner of the barn and got a little (overzealous) with the FEL and managed to push the side wall out 4 inches -oops just ventilated the building...

I was backing into the tractor shed to unhook the bush hog and I hit the side of the garage door with the loader bucket.

I run my electric fence wire over the top on certain gates instead of burying it. Then forget to lower the FEL when going through them.

Simple cure for that... TSC has rolls of bright orange and red vinyl marker tape. I tie a couple lengths on the wire to remind me....

Not a tractor story, but in the neighborhood. Learned at 12 or 13 how to pop a clutch to start a truck or piece of equipment. Thought I would impress dad by not having to ask for help when he sent me to move an old Mack truck that wouldn't start; it was, after all, perched nicely on top of a fairly steep incline. After destroying a plow and a couple other implements and crashing into a corn crib I learned that air brakes need time to build pressure. Like another poster said, glad I learned that little nugget on dad's dime!

I climbed out of the truck feeling lucky to be alive and all dad seemed to care about was the carnage!

How did you get the air brakes to unlock?

I really don't remember, 4570Man. All I remember is screaming down a hill at what felt like 100mph. Looking back, I probably got up to 20, maybe 25. During all my dad's frothing over my stupidity (in fairness, it did cause a good bit of damage to the truck, the implements, and the crib) there was a lot of loud wondering about why I thought I would have brakes without giving time for air pressure to build.

All I did was engage the clutch and it started rolling. I don't think I did anything to release air brakes.

But air brakes remain locked until air pressure is applied. The brakes should have been locked until enough air pressure built up.
