Traded my 2001 BX2200 and mower in for a new BX2360 and 60"MMM in October. Almost since new the mower has
made a high-pitched noise at 2400 RPM and above. Seems to be coming from the gear case.
Here is a video of the problem -
Finally, it got to the point it was just getting on my nerves and needed to be looked at.
Dropped it off at the dealer, explained the problem and cranked it up for them. They were actually about to say " they all do that" before I shot down that argument.
They kept it for a week and didn't fix anything. Head of the shop said" there's a 2 year warranty so let's wait and see what happens."
All the way home, I'm thinking " there's no way I'll let this go on for 2 years."
As I see it, I have 2 options. 1.) Sell the mower and get a RFM. 2.) Trade tractor and mower in on another brand.
I'm actually leaning toward #2 because if I can't depend on the dealer to fix a small thing under warranty, how can I have any confidence in him to take care of anything else?
I do know that I will not spend another dime with them.
I am curious as to what would you do?
Thanks
