With the BX, as compared to the 2410, did you run out of power, or did you run out of traction? I ask because I have often wondered if the smaller wheels and tires on the BX resulted in less traction for some reason. Maybe being small but wide they tend to "float" more?
The drive I was breaking up was pretty tough. The tractors ran out of traction and the wheels would just spin. I loaded the FEL with soil and that helped the BX with the traction but it was still a tough go. For heavy work I think the 48/400lb unit is just to big. I think still that at 44ish inch unit in the 325 range would be better. Yeah, it might not cover the tracks fully, not sure but if that be the case then it would just have to be lived with, I think it would cover enough. Yes, it was a lack of traction and weight, the little BX engine was working pretty good though and for that matter so was the 2410. I wish the BX were here now for more experiments but it resides now with my parents but I do got visitation rights--it is still mine /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif. J
