I'm looking at an SAE to NPT adapter on Summit Hydraulics, they offer NPT size as choices as #8 NPT or #10 NPT. I thought they came in fractional sizes.
Can anybody explain please?
Thanks

Hydraulic fittings are pretty much sized this way across the board. JIC, ORB, ORS and NPT as well. What are you building, repairing, etc. that you are using a bulkhead fitting on? When mounting in brackets, or through cab or enclosure walls they work well for being able to securely mount solidly. Here is your fitting on Amazon. Here also is a link for a Good reference to find the fittings you need. The other thing is that with some minor changes like an added letter or two fittings use standard part numbers as well.
