Man I don't know what it is but I know someone who could find a use for it.
Check out what I did with some <A target="_blank" HREF=http://photos.yahoo.com/bc/wroughtnharv/vwp?.dir=/The+Dome+aka+labor+of+love&.src=ph&.dnm=adios+dome.jpg&.view=t&.done=http%3a//photos.yahoo.com/bc/wroughtnharv/lst%3f%26.dir=/The%2bDome%2baka%2blabor%2bof%2blove%26.src=ph%26.view=t>inch and quarter pipe, six inch pipe, and the vase shaped part of an old hand pump.</A>
That top piece on top of the dome as an assembly of just those parts and some half inch flame cut spacers. That "one god" symbol on top sits like a weather vane spinning around with the wind on top of the assembly.
In my country gate album there's a picture of the Tarabella gate. If you look closely at the top of the gate post you can see what happens when enthusiasm crashes into fertile mind and some John Deere disc spacers are nearby.
