I hope all of the problems are worked out with the new design of the BX24 entry. The BX23 is a sweetheart. The new little BX is a good looker!

Jimmy,

If you don't mind me asking, what were the items needing fixed that made you take your BX back to the dealer 3 times?

Besides the fender and seat recall, the only other issue I've had on my BX 24 was a leaking battery.

Btw, my temp guage usually registers right in the middle or slightly above if a hot day and operating for hours at a time.

I had to take it back for the macnine leaking oil out of the chunk. Then it was running hot( Or so I thought) ....Took to dealer and said not running hot....Brought it back and said it was running hot and apparently it wasn't but the guage or sending unit was bad....had sending unit replaced and that seemed to fix the problem...Now I have busted fenders....I would probably keep this machine if i could get a loader vavle for it. I have been trying to get a FEL for it since may when I bought it and they have the loader...They just keep telling me they can't get the vavle.....Say's Kubota is behind on manufacturing them.....I should've waited another year to get one of these guys.

I've asked 2 dealers about this and they know nothing?????????????????????

If this is such an issue, are they not wanting to own up to it for sake of losing sales?

Ya gotta remember, TractorByNet is where everyone turns to when they have an issue...so we see a greater percentage of the problems in all three major brands than may exist in the general public. We've seen how many first-hand reports of fenders broken here? 5? I wonder how many BX24/2350s have been sold? quite a few I'm betting....

I totaly understand... I'm a frequent on a diesel truck website and if you were to read it and not own one, you would never want one... Usually, people only post when the have problems...or are doing research to purchase. That's how I found this site... :)

They are less likely to post that they really like something, unless they become frequent visitors and it is a hobby..... That's from my experience at least.

Another thing I keep in mind that if you goto a website about a certain product, you may see twice the # of negative as you see on another, but you MUST keep in mind, how much of the market that product has. Usually, quality is within a percent or two of the competition, but if they sell 2-300,000 units a year and they outsell the competition combined, your likely to see a higher number of posts for the higher volume manufacturer. That just common sense, but a lot of people can't see the forest for the trees...

IMO ;)

I looked at a brand new bx 24 today at local dealer, the fender is already cracked on the left side the radiator screen cover is just barely hanging on and the black plastic housing around the control levers is fading fast, i cant believe the quality control dept does nothing about these items. the dealer says that there is a kit in the works to fix the fenders but to replace them is a major job..... the rad screen fix is to put a screw in the side where the little tabs should be ..looks really cheap.... im having second thoughts about trading my bx 23 for the bx 24...........

I am not much of a photographer and boys didn't take typing when I went to high school so here goes. BX24 has 114 hrs on it and has done everything I have asked of it. It has been in some pretty rough places here in East Tenn and maybe I have been too hard on it but I don't think so.

I attached a nice picture of an 11" cracked fender on a three month old BX1850.

This problem is not isoted. If your dealer says he has never heard about it before, tell him to check again.

No Charlie-we have a dog here.

When you are seeing 5000 hits on this topic at TBN, I think an effective argument can be made that a manufacturer's problem exists. It may not be a problem acknowledged by Kubota- but far more seriously-one demonstrated by their loyal and some time legendary consumer base.

What I would like to see is some one from Kubota doing or taking some measurable actions relating to problems with this tractor series. I have heard (Kubota) dealers talking about the crap associated with the 4000 series JD's, but this is why I buy and am loyal to Kubota. I do not expect to have to put up with issues like JD quality or design flaws. Do we have a repeat?

BTW-the "PASSED" quality inspection sticker is 1" above the radiator screen hinge that does not fit on the left side of the BX-1850. Want another picture???

I bought a Kubota, not a ’78 Pontiac
