But a peave of mine is when people try to speak with an english accent to sound more "civilized"

I have the same problem with guys in under-powered German sports cars, when I'm in my SRT.

j/k... I love those 911's. Used to own one, many years ago. Fun cars, they handle like they're on rails, if not the most powerful thing on the road.

A 911 Turbo S is very close to a Challenger Hellcat in performance.

The Challenger is understandably slower in 0-60, but supposedly wins in the quarter by few thousands. Naturally I had to point out to my girlfriend that she'd lose in a 1/4-mile race.

She didn't like that. And she really didn't like that I called her first loser. Well, she showed me, by ordering a Redeye.

Yeah, some of them are pretty quick. But they didn't say "turbo S", they said "turbo", which is a much less impressive 4-second 0-60.

Can't necessarily go by the badging.

When she ordered that Turbo S I managed to (unbeknownst to her) check the "badge delete" box. So that one didn't even say "turbo", but was plenty quick and fast.

Does your girlfriend have a single sister, that is into cars like she is ? Any lady that even knows what a Redeye model is, is a winner in my books. And another pet peeve of mine is when someone mentions a Redeye, and doesn,t post a picture of it. LOL They are awesome cars.

Hah. Yeah, I know that some frown on it, but I have a box of badges from various cars, doing my best to make them appear like lesser models.

For example, I had a Trackhawk, but it was really the most limited Jeep I've ever owned, so where the Trackhawk badge on the rear lid used to be, I put a "Limited" badge.

Anyway, she's quite into fun cars. Power and performance that is, and we've had a bit of a war going on between us for years now. It's one I can't win, though, as she has money.
