What is the cheapest kubota zero turn diesel?

I never said they rot, the decks are so thin the tension spring pulled through.

I have a 49 year old Sears (Roper) with single cyl. 15 HP Briggs, and the deck is just fine.
Don't use it anymore though, as I have a nice new SCAG with a heavy fabricated deck.

Buying any air cooled gas engine nearing 2000 hours is a gamble I wouldn't take. Far too many are near the end.

Your blanket statement is not true. You ever owned a Kubota gas engined machine? The Kubota engines in Grasshopper mowers are the same block as diesels, just carburated instead of diesel.

The key word RickB said is Air cooled, that can substantially shorten the lifespan of a gas engine. The water cooled Kawasaki and Kubota gas engines will have a much longer life span.

Typical life span of an air cooled small gas engine is around 2-2500hrs as a best case most comercial mowers are operated near full load in harsh environments typically and may not see the best maintenence, I think 2000hrs would be a gamble.

I said it was a gamble, not an absolute guarantee of failure. And I'm not backing down from my post. If you read slowly you might see I mentioned air cooled gas engines. If you don't agree that's fine.
