What is the lever for?

Glad you found it... Looked almost like a throttle lock.

( Nope...both wrong but I found out what it is. You adjust the height of your 3-point hitch with the normal control for this. Then you can use this lever to raise the lift and return it to the exact height originally set. )

I remember reading about this lever. It is a big improvement over not having position control where one has to return the lever to neutral when the hitch is at the proper level. Almost always a miss. It's nice to have a "memory" lever so you can return it to where you know it's right. John

I believe that some of the larger New Holland models have a similar feature. I'm thinking it might be real handy for ground engaging implements I reckon.
