What is this?

I was crawling around under my L2501 today and found a few more zerk fittings. While greasing I came across this big nut with (not sure what to call it) a movable pin. Looks like some kind of vent maybe, but I'm not sure. Any ideas. Thanks

Definitely the clutch housing drain. Push the pin up, if water spits out, remove the nut to drain the housing.

It's basically an "upside down" breather - drain. RJ nailed it.

LOL... how true.
I guess my use doesn't lend to getting water in the housing, as 15+ years of button pushing never resulted in water coming out.
I suspect driving through streams etc, is another matter.
