I have one gripe on my Massey GC1710 as well. It's a great tractor, except the "dual role" seat.

It's a single seat for using the tractor, and has a swiveling pivot thingie to turn it backwards to use the backhoe. It's such a frustration to switch back and forth that I find myself leaving the seat in the forward position, and kneeling on it while facing rearward to operate the backhoe. All in all that works out pretty well if you are digging a ditch, since you need to keep advancing forward anyway. But the complexity of the design to change from forward to reverse is certainly a low point in an otherwise excellent tractor. Before choosing the Massey I noticed the Kioti SCUT had two seats which seemed better.

Diff lock is operated by right heel. Unfortunately, your right foot is busy with hydro pedals, also on the right. Brake is all alone on the left.

I don't know why Branson makes the cabbed and non-cabbed tractors different here. My cabbed 3725 has the diff lock on the left heel side, so I can run the forward/reverse pedals with right foot, and diff lock or brake pedal with left foot.

I wish they would build the non-cabbed tractors that way too, I feel for you guys.

The dash display
Kioti should send an engineer out here to cut for 7 hours in 100* heat.
NO way the dash display indicator lights can be seen. I've almost missed two regens and hitting the regen button.
The exhaust smell got my attention and had to stop cutting stoop over even more and place both hands over the dash to see the indicator lamp.

No grab handle near the mirror so have to grab the steering wheel.
No tool box. One can be mounted behind the seat. Looks like drilling time to mount one.

Most hyd. hoses are tightly routed right up against the frame. Looks like an opportunity for hyd. hose cuts from normal vibration some time in the future.

No auto pilot to cut backwards down both sides of dah creek. :drink:

My Kubota M7060HD12 accelerator pedal is so far to the right on the platform it is uncomfortable to get my leg around the FEL controls to use it. The hand throttle is so conveniently positioned, it's what I normally use. I have thought about making some kind of custom clamp-on extension for the pedal, to position it more to the left, to make it more user friendly. I also will not use the tractor to cut some really overgrown fields or perform some heavy brush/grapple work until I provide some protective skid plates for the exposed fuel tank and hydraulic lines underneath. I fault Kubota for not addressing this weak point in their heavier tractors.

New Holland 壮uper steer?
I love my NH TC45D except for the super steer front end. It is a PITA when swapping quick attach FEL equipment because there is no last minute correction as turning the steering wheel to the right the FEL tends to drift in the opposite direction, same when turning to the left.
If one had a belly mounted mower, the super steer would be a beautiful thing.
That being said, i知 Not in the market to trade.

Unless it needs a park regen you don’t hit the button unless you need to stop the auto regen. Keep the rpms above 1800-2000 and keep working it will complete its regen. Only time you have to activate the regen is if the light is flashing, then you have to do a park regen.

Water bottle spot on the JD 2025R is completely useless. I made use of the top of one of the Frontier "document holders" and bolted it to the FEL tower for a very excellent thermos holder.

Tractors should have clocks. I've a wrist watch wrapped around one the hand holds for my clock.

Of course, the infamous, ungreaseable but vulnerable (busted one on my 4010) front U joint off the engine going to the HST is totally inaccessable.

X2 for the cup holder with my JD. Useless, but very expensive.

I got a magnetic one off amazon. Actually hard to find metal in the operator station. ROPS is of course but not a convenient location.

Some of the housing around the FEL joystick is. So that is where the cup holder lives.

I'd like to be able to exit the tractor more easily on the right side. This is necessary due to the tight spot I park it in. Have to get off and on from the right side (when seated). The FEL lever is in the way and there's no step. The older I get the more difficult it is and my bum knee doesn't appreciate the jump down.

I bought a factory LH step and mounted it on the RH of my 4410. It took a few modifications but it is an excellent addition to my tractor. The angle iron I used to mount it also became the mounting point for my electrical shield for all the under platform wiring.

Ya a clock would be awesome but no doubt a pain to change twice a year for daylight savings time. Engineers can't seem to figure out how to make that intuitive.

Seat and operator face forward but implements go behind. :)

I can't find anything unfriendly on my machine. :D

It fits like a glove. In and out from either side. All implements in front where I can see them. No 3pt hitch. Quick attach lets me change implements in less than 15 seconds without leaving the seat. Powered implements require two hydraulic hoses, so add 30 seconds. Easy to work on myself. No plastic fenders or dash. No sheet metal, either. All plate steel construction.

This link to this thread is 17 years old and it's still all relevant.

I have had this magnetic one over 2 years,, it is perfect,,

I like it because all of my tractors have steel floorboards, the cup holder even holds onto diamond plate floors,,,
I move it to whichever tractor I am using,,,

Sorry but PT is disqualified for two reasons.

1. You must have a gripe.
2. This isn't a contest over which tractor company has the worst possible website. :D
