This one is my newest favorite...

Never give in, never give in, never, never, never, never-in nothing, great or small, large or petty - never give in except to convictions of honour and good sense. Never yield to force; never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy.

Winston Churchill

Personally I have a motto "Semper Gumby" that I learned years ago from some Marine friend. In my family at least it means "Always Flexible"...

On my Subamarine we had a saying "BOHICA" as in "Bend Over Here It Comes Again"... It is right up there with FUBAR, REMF, Blue Falcon, and at least one more I can't recall at the moment... Classic military terms.

The only one I believe I made up, and I use it often, is "I'll burn that bridge when I come to it"... I believe hat one is self explanatory!

My Mother always told me and my sisters ... "If you can read, you can do anything". She was the smartest person I have ever known.

All men have an emotion to kill; when they strongly dislike some one they involuntarily wish he was dead. I have never killed any one, but I have read some obituary notices with great satisfaction.
