One TBN's sig that reads;

"The good lord sure loved stupid people as he made a lot of them"

One of my peeves;
"Not in my job description"

(When I owned a small company, job description included
"------and whatever job management may delegate")

Saw a pretty clever quote on one of my employees lockers:

How can you expect me to think outside of the box when you make me work in a cube?

I THINK I saw the following in a photo of a helmet. The helmet and wearer of same were in Viet Nam.

Yea though I walk through the valley of death,
I will fear no evil.
For I am the baddest M... F.... in the valley.

:D

I follow the following saying from my Granny. :thumbsup:

Waste not, want not.

If you do not have anything nice to say then do not say anything at all.

She had many more but I use these two often. The later one, daily. :laughing:

Later,
Dan

You Dad will have to duke it out with Eleanor Roosevelt for credit on that one. ;)

My Dad always hated procrastination, so his favourite is, "Do it, then it's done". I'm sure it's his own. We all laugh at him when he uses it, but now my kids are starting to use it. Funny

Great thread!! Here are a few that I've tried to live by...

From my Dad,... "Use your head."

From Gordon B. Hinckley... "Fix it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without." I'm sure he's not the first to say it, but he's the one I heard it from.

From Kazadi Muzungai, political exile from the former Zaire and old my college roomate... "There's no such thing as doing your fair share. There will always be someone doing more and someone doing less. I choose to be the one doing more."

The one I always tell my kids... "Do what you can do first. Then worry about what you can't do."

One last thought that I like to remember... "Tragedy is what happens to me. Comedy is what happens to you."
