I first heard it from Rodney Dangerfield.

I first heard it from Rodney Dangerfield.

It may well be that Rodney was the author; however Herb Shriner, who passed in 1970, was always talking about his home town and telling similar stories. I think I first heard him make that statement back in the late 50's. He was also know for his "home" movies.
