Along those lines. Work brought in a business professor to teach a project management class years back and he started with this line:
Those who can...do.
Those who can't do...teach.
Those who can't teach...Manage.
And those who can't manage...teach management!
So here I am to teach you project management...
He was Israeli and said it with a thick accent and dramatic pauses that made it quite funny

Lots of truth in those statements. I worked school maintenance for thirty years and saw first hand the ineptitude and total lack of common sense of many, many teachers.

I was consulting with my Human Physiology professor (PhD in Physiology) about going for my PhD; told her I was considering getting my PhD in Education and teaching science. She said "You can make it as a science major; don't you know only those that can't make it in their chosen field go into education?"

A chemist, a shopkeeper and a teacher were sentenced to death by firing squad. The chemist was taken from his cell and as the soldiers took aim he shouted "Avalanche!" The soldiers panicked and in the confusion the chemist escaped. The shopkeeper was led out next. As the soldiers took aim he shouted "Flood!" and escaped. The teacher was then lead out. The squad took aim and the teacher, remembering how the other two had escaped, shouted "Fire!"
