What kind of apples?

dj1701...Is the first year the tree did this? Is there any chance the hanging apples could be weather related?

I ask because I have a black walnut tree that has not dropped it's walnuts yet. It is a very large tree and I have been here for 25 years and this is the first time this has happened. I wonder if it may be drought related.

Dozens of different types. I haven't tried all of them, because most are sour. There're a few mixed in there that are pretty good.

When my Dad bought the farm there were 3 apple trees in the yard, one good tasting and two sour that were good for pies.

The Deer enjoy the apples in the fall. Sometimes the Bear come in a break branches.
