What Kind of Steel Pipe Do I Have?

Can anyone tell me what steel pipe I have? It is just under 2" OD and is black on the outside (guessing paint or some other cover) when I grind it there are hardly any sparks and they are a dull orange and very small. I can't cut this stuff with my metal bandsaw but did manage to cut through it with my chop saw and with the plasma. It was very difficult to cut with the chop saw.

Probably 1-1/2in Schedule 40 steel pipe.

As best I know it is an alloy that makes it more malleable and less likely to spark when struck. Most gas use was low pressure.
The coating was to limit corrosion and rust from condensation and moisture in the gas.

Thanks again. I'll try welding it and see how it goes. It sure is some tough stuff. I've probably cut 40 to 50 feet of 1 1/2" thick plate with my bandsaw but it wouldn't cut this stuff.

I'm pretty sure it's not shed 40 steel as I've cut a bunch of that stuff with the bandsaw without any issues. Plus the sparks are much different when grinding. Well time to get back out to the shop.

Could be stainless too. Stainless throws small dull red sparks too.
