What Makes Kubota Better Than Kioti

If only ALL businesses were as responsive as Messicks.
I am in Massachusetts, and use Messick's if/when I need parts.
Messick's is the BEST !!!

For Kioti parts I have similar results with Michigan Iron.
I'm in Pennsylvania and what few parts I've needed I order from Michigan Iron and they are at my door within days

Where are these people who keep saying Kubota is better than "insert brand name here"? Currently there are two going on right now. It seams like people who buy other brands post a couple threads a year like this. Other than joking I can't say I've seen anyone (who is credible) make a bold statement saying Kubota is better. What isn't debatable is that Kubota has a lot of dealers so the chances of you being near one that you like is much better. Secondly is their insurance is better than the rest. Call up your insurer and say you hit a rock while brush hogging a field and broke your radiator and see what happens. Being Kubota you don't have to deal with adjusters who then need to deal with the shop doing the work. If you have a problem, you just pay a deductible and everything is taken care of.

So other than that to the answer to the OP's question is fit and features. I (the key being me) fit on my Kubota better than I did on the other brands I looked at and once I understood the HST+ transmission I knew it was something I wanted. But that was just for me. If everyone was the same we would only have one brand of car that came in only one color.

Change the names and a few of the details and you could have written this very same post 70 years ago. Of course I'm referring to Henry Ford and Harry Ferguson.

Yes, Ford vs Ferguson is an epic.
Or it could be John Deere vs Yanmar in the 1980s & 90s.
History of that one is that Yanmar agreed to rebadge their older straight gear shift models as 4wd compact tractors for JD - this was the JD650 through 1050 line. These were based on models that Yanmar had discontinued a decade before.
Apparently Yanmar's intention was to make those for JD but continue selling their modern tractors through their established Yanmar dealers. Big lawsuit resulted in Yanmar closing all their dealerships and exiting the US for 20 years. But in this crazy world, part of the settlement was that Yanmar continued to build the compact line for JD. Maybe they still do.

I't pretty obvious MINE is bigger than yours... ;-)

When I looked almost six years ago at buying a new 50-60hp tractor, I looked at JD, Kubota and Kioti. JD was too far away and expressed zero interest in me, did not even return phone calls. Kioti dealer was closest, but tiny, a working farmer also selling tractors. They had five tractors in their lot. Kubota had close to 50. I'm sure this has changed a lot in the past years, but the local Kioti dealer near me now only has about 8 tractors in their front yard. Frankly it looks deserted...
Ultimately I went with Kubota due to confidence level in their whole package, the machine, the insurance, the dealer and how well I was treated.

Today I would look at LS and Kioti a lot harder before buying another new tractor, which I have no plans for. I expect my Kubota to outlast me, as I expect my made in India Massey also to do.

I think tractors have gotten like pickup trucks...they have gotten so good and so capable we seem to quibble over minor differences.
As long as you don't get a lemon, most folks are thrilled to death with their new tractors.

And they've done a darned good job of it, too.

They sure did a fine job with my JD X750 garden tractor. One of the nicest pieces of equipment I own, tough, super easy to use
and comfortable. I thought I'd get rid of it when I bought a new Kubota out front mower but I like the JD so much and use it so often to haul things
that I'm not sure I'll ever sell it. And that Yanmar diesel is just a wonderful powerplant. Only 500 hours so hardly broken in.
It's simply a first class piece of equipment and a pleasure to own.
And I can say exactly the same thing about my Kubota tractor.

Of the two other tractors(Ford, Mahindra) tractors I have owned, and the John Deere tractors I have operated, Kubota quality is superior. I didn't consider Kioti because there are no dealers close by in NC. From what I'm hearing here, Kioti is also of competitive quality to the Kubota. As a side note, the closest Kubota dealer(40mins) priced my M7060HD12 $4k over the next closest dealer(75mins) across the line in the next state. I went to VA. and purchased from a great dealership.

one of my few annoyances with my Kubota is the cost of oem air filters. You look at the thing and wonder how it could possibly cost that much, even if
it is a nice filter. About twice as much as it looks worth to me. I wonder if Kioti doesn't mark up their consumables as much. But you don't buy a tractor based on that,
you learn over years of operation. I wish I could find a nice Baldwin filter in that size but the last time I tried that the guaranteed to fit filter didn't.
And i do believe Kubota puts little pure gold flecks in their Super hydraulic oil they hold it so dear.

Have you tried Napa for air filters? My son gets air and engine oil filters for his Kubota from Napa made by Wix. Saves a good bit of money.
