What model and engine is in your Mitsubishi or Satoh?

There isn't too much info on the web nor in documents to cover the many many many machines made over the years. And TractorData isn't Bible on the subject matter either.

So, the purpose of this thread is to help compile a better listing.

What model and engine is in your Mitsubishi or Satoh tractor?

If you search this forum there is a fairly comprehensive history of Satoh and Mitsubishi that was compiled. The author passed a few years ago.

It was reposted and added to by another member within the last two months.

Why post another?

Well, that document is not complete. It still is missing many models and related engines to those models.

I've spent countless hours searching, verifying and piecing together a few more models to engines, but the web is very limited.

Ed started the saga, it was the building block. Now to build upon it, more info is needed.

Nice link. For the MAM tractors, it covers only a few MT machines. No D or other machines prior to the 90s.

Still impressive. Guess I'll spend a few hours there comparing and updating the PDF docx.

They are officially under different names it seems, you will see them when you go through the list. Specifically the D designation I doubt you will see as the list is for engines used not differences in drivetrain.

The Mazda Capella or 616 would possibly have been a closer match but I think the smallest motor put in any of those Mazda's was approx. 90 HP ( almost 4 times more than the Satoh) and significantly larger displacement than the 650G engine.

As far as which engine is in what Mitsubishi tractor Valley Power has the most comprehensive listing Ive seen to date.

Actually that list is now superseded with an update to ED's original work. And the PDF document is now searchable with additional information.

I only know what I was told about the car. I could have been told wrong. anyway my 650-g has a Mazda motor of some sorts in it. and yes its the original motor.
I am still looking for a decent replacement motor to put in it. This one has major problems.

Have you looked at repower engine replacements?

The S650G Mazda PB100 engine was also used in the S550G and the Yale forklift truck 71-73.

Others have found engines that bolt right in with little effort from other engine makers too. See this TBN thread with good details in this forum.

satoh S650G engine changeablility ?

is there another mazda engine that is inter changeable with the 1.0L ? saw where some parts from a 1971 mazda 1200 pickup were interchangeable. saw on craigslist locally a 1.0L rotary engine from a 1977 mazda pickup for sale here....that engine was used several years in the RX series. is there...
