I was in your same shoes this year. The second pic is my trailer. Thats what I ultimately decided on. So far is has been a good decision. I was all hipped to get a deckover tilt for a long time. Then decided that wouldn't be good for multiple items. Plus wheels need to be quite a bit forward to soften the deck angle. That trailer rides perfect even empty. No banging and bouncing around and no wagging the tail. I drive a cobalt to work and I can drive it on that trailer. What I discovered is for low cars is to simply jack up the tongue a few inches and the ramp angle is gentle enough for almost any car. With the mighty tongue jack this is a sinch while connected to the truck. Bumper vs GN depends on your tow vehicle. I had no choice as mine is a van. BTW that trailer replaced a drop axle 7K w/mesh ramps. I do miss the mesh for small items but I'm working around that issue.

Why would attachments be any more inclined to drag on this trailer than a ramp type trailer?

Why would hauling multiple items on a tilt bed be any more of a problem than hauling them on a trailer with ramps?

Steeper angle means the back end stuff will hit as you load it and unload it. The non-deck over is lower, so less steep and a more gentle angle. A deckover would need a ramp that is a couple feet longer to have the same load angle. Natually, if you tilt the deck that problem is minimized !

If you tilt and load something, it will be hard to tilt to load the next item. Least ways, that's how I am thinking about it.

I don't think there is any one perfect solution. In TBN tradition, you should buy them both.

1*Secure it on the trailer before attempting to load the next item.
Or tilt it and load the first item then use ramps to drive the tractor up on the trailer or load the next item.
2*In that case I need 3 trailers .
A-1 non deck over to haul tractors and cars on.
B-1 deck over to haul things like a small building on.
C-1 dump trailer to haul and dump dirt and gravel with.

Well, there's always a way, if your stubborn enough! But, most tilt trailers don't have provisions for ramps. They also don't like to tilt up with the weight all the way forward. Not impossible, just much harder. Might even need to 3RRL-ize it into a monster.

3 Trailers! (slaps head) Why didn't I think of that?:D

What about a log truck with a boom? You could just add a grab hook to the top of your tractor and hook it on and drop it on the trailer. No ramps needed!

(Ok, we are now officially getting goofy on this topic!)
