What Should I Pay?

MDNY-

...if a true neighbor and friend wants to help there shouldn't be anything thought ill of it.

Yep, I'm all for "friendly neighbors" (I try to be a good one myself.) I try to be a "good Samaritan" when the opportunity presents itself and belive in "golden rule" as well.

I really didn't want to alarm anyone here and didn't want to imply that MikePA's neighbor was a bad fellow (actually appears to be quie the opposite).

At the same time unfortunately I've just seen too many people "get burned" in the past (including myself). (i.e. your comment of how the "world really works")

Believe it or not, I don't see conspiracy behind every corner (maybe a few though /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif) I just hate to see good people (and myself) get into a "Catch 22" situation unexpectedly. Sounds like the issue has been resolved for MikePA, so all's well that ends well. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Well, it sounds like you've got it taken care of but I would offer, almost insist, to atleast cover his expenses for gas, seed, lime and then do a dinner thing, host a BBQ or dinner at your house - Take some of your personal time pay back for his personal time.

This is how it used to be ( i suppose) in the old days and boy we could sure use a dose of that kind of thinking nowadays.

Just curious. What type of grass(es) were seeded?
He bought a pasture grass mix at the same place he buys the seed for his hay crop.

While I might live to regret it /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif, I'm going to offer to assist him with harvesting his hay crop.

I can't go that far. I like having done it. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif There's something satisfying about standing back and looking at a full hay loft.
