Tractor Sizing What size?

I have a friend that is lokking for a compact (JD) that will be large enough to handle big round bales with loader and 3 point (1000 lbs) 4500 to 4700 would do this? I have never tryed it with my 4300.

The 4500-4700 equipped with the 460 ldr should be able to lift 1000lbs bales with no problem. However, if you want to try this with a 4300, I'd wear a helmet and buckle-up!

Although it's not recommended I lift 1600 lb. round bales with my 4600 on both the front and rear end and have never had one bit of problem doing it. I even lift them up and into the round bale feeders.

He wanted me to take my 4300 out to the farm and pick up some bales. So here I go. 3point had no problem lifting them up . I kept one on the rear and useing my pallet forks the GB 260 loader had no problem lifting up and over the feeder. He weight the heavy ones at 1700lbs. The way it felt I belive they dryed out some since then. I pick up 4' x 8' sheet goods and lumber off of semi trailers up to 1600lbs and the tractor was alot more stable side to side and just did not fell like that much weight to me. Since I'm tradeing this tractor in for a 4400 with BH he wants to buy it now. The GB 260 loader has a lift cap of 1450lbs alittle more than JD loader.

I use my 4500 to lift pallets of stone. My 460 loader seems to top out at 2350 pounds, though I am only lifting them about 12" to drive them around the yard. 1600 pounds is the forklift attachment rating, which is what I try to keep the weight at or below. It was interesting that at 2355, it wouldn't budge. Take one rock off the top, and up it goes.
