ROX,
Welcome to the forum. I was born in France while my Dad was in the U.S. Army. Born in Thierville, De La Meuse.
From the little bit we could see of your tractor, it looks like the whole thing needs a good cleaning and lubricating! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
Y'all really need to grease up that turnbuckle. If you don't, it will get even worse than before.
Please, please, don't let hubby stand between implement and tractor!!!!!! Not only will it be bad if he gets hurt, but then you'll be blaming yourself forever. First get the tractor as close as possible and hook up whichever side of the 3ph you can. Then use the turnbuckle to get the other side in position.
Replace that pallet/wheel ASAP!
Are there other farmers around y'all? Ask them for ideas on making the hookup easier. It's kinda hard for us to make recommendations without being able to see it.
If y'all will post some pictures of all those other implements over in the attachments forum, we can identify them for you.
Your hubby is a lucky man. Good luck.
