In the game we will be monitoring, the underdog team Fluff will set up against the favorite team Ruff. Interesting side note, 6 players, Cece, Erin, Orla, Gretel, Pizzazz and Zipper are from Iowa.

My Mate (from Brisbane) and I have an ongoing Superb Owl 'tradition'... whoever loses in the previous year gets to pick their choice. I won last year with the KC 'Swifties', so this year he chose the 'Birds'.

So, whatever it's worth, I'll be barracking for the KC 'Swifts' again.

From a statistic standpoint, Eagles have had more total yards on offense vs the Chiefs in both the regular season and post season play by a good bit (I was surprised that the chiefs only had about 500 yards more in passing yards than the eagles in 2024).

That said, the Eagles have the #1 defense in the league, and something I found surprising is that in pass defense, the Eagles are #1 and the Chiefs are #18.

Of course stats don't win games, but if there ever was a chance of a team running away with the game, I'd lean towards the Eagles.

That said, since I became a Eagles fan in the 70's as a kid and remembering a lot of groans from my uncles and cousins watching them on TV, I still have this feeling that the birds can blow it LOL

2017 ended that. Of course the Eagles can blow it. They are facing a dynasty team that has the refs, hollywood and the nations fans on their side.
The eagles can play with any team in the NFL and have been like that for a while though.

Maholmes and Kelce is what runs the Chiefs in crunch time-when the lights are brightest.
The Eagles thrive behind their O-line and Saquon throughout the game to physically beat the other team’s defense to death.

On offense, what will prevail? Steady run game offense and ball control? Or lightning strike offense?
Big red is a great coach too, but Siriani has an unreal record over the last 3 years.

The eagles have the better defense, but contrary to the old saying “defense wins championships”, its more like “offense wins Super Bowls”.
