You should rely be looking at the responses of people from similar climates to yours. The diesel formulation at the pumps here in Vermont is different in the summer vs the winter. In the Fall, you often hear people who are filling up a 5 gallon can at some of the local stations asking "have you switched to winter diesel yet?"
I'm not sure if the dealers down south ever even switch to a "winter blend"?
When it gets really cold out (below zero) many in my area will often add an anti-gel additive to their diesel even if it is already "winter diesel".
