What the heck is making these holes?

A bandicoot... but only in the ground, not any type of wood.

Can't wait to find out the results cause the imaginations are running wild on this one. I love it!! As fara as what is causing it...........I haven't got a clue.

The plot thickens! Three rat traps untouched, and a fourth one sprung, but no critter in it. Maybe there was a creature in the fourth one, but another critter came along and ate it!

Took a good look through the holes with a flashlight, and nothing there but dirt and the month balls that I had put down each hole last week.

Will check the traps again tomorrow morning.

Whatever might be using the holes may not be what made them.

How about sweeping up the debri in the area and sprinkling some flour on the floor?

What is under that block of wood in the top left corner of the first pic? It could be the mother of all holes. Or the doorway to the abyss.

Could the people that built the barn years ago had problems with standing water right there and drilled the hole to drain the water, and then the dirt filled them in until recently and you have just now found them.

You like that idea better than swabbing the hole and analyzing with a spectrometer? :laughing:

We want to see what critters are walking around... even if they aren't the culprits. Then we can all guess who/what is making the footprints. Kind of like Bigfoot here in the PNW.
