I'm with check at this point... the collective intelligence of this forum should have solved it! But on the other hand, we haven't solved the pallets in the fields so I yield the floor.Not without a picture and more information/history of the site.
Otherwise we're making educated guesses from your limited information and our experiences or pulling stuff out of our arse.

OK, I will go over today and take ONE picture, and I will tell you that the property is the oldest on Kawagama Lake (about 100 years old, but not all the buildings are that old), and was at one point a hunting and fishing camp.
Now, I'm really perplexed. How can one plot of ground be older than the ones all around it?
