What tires do you prefer on a big truck?

To me 285's are a nice overall upgrade to a better tire. They're only slightly larger than a typical stock tire so you won't heighten your rear axle ratio much, they're only slightly wider without being too wide where they start putting excess stress on drive train components, and they're only marginally higher priced than most stock sized tires.

Are these the biggest tires you can put on a dually diesel with stock rims?

I have the Michelin AT/2 in 285-75R16 on my 99 F250.I pull a 32' enclosed trailer all over the country with it. Quiet and stable.

I just put 285/70/17 Michelin MS2's on my 07 f250. I don't know how long they will last but they sure are smooth and quiet. Almost unbelievable how quiet they are.

I don't think I have ever got more than 35k out of any tires I have ever owned. I don't wait until they are slicks to replace them, but 60-70k will never happen for me.

I have always had A/T's so I hope I don't give up too much with a regular mud and snow tire. So far, bird hunting in the back country, I have encountered a lot of soft sand and they didn't do to well in 2 wheel drive. In 4wd I can always pull thru it.

I run the MT's on my Titan but its not a big truck like my F-350. I agree though, the Hankook's are hard to beat. I took my Titan places last winter that had 3 other trucks stuck and was able to pull them out. Front and rear lockers helped a lot also...
