What to buy?

The dealer is going to say he's got X number of customers lined up ahead of you. That also presumes the oem would get involved at that level. Scheduling of maintenance or repair is not likely to get them involved. Flat out refusal could lose the dealership the franchise, scheduling is outside of their purview. Odds are that even if a customer gets in contact with the OEM, it will not really solve anything.

To be clear, this is not an LS thing. This is the attitude of some dealerships of all brands.

I have purchased trucks from out of town dealers and promise, you don’t get the same treatment as if you had bought locally when trouble happens.

OP, I would not stress too much about resale value. Impossible to predict market 5 years out anyway. Most likely situation is that resale will, like price, be within striking distance either way. I'm looking for a bigger tractor...but both of these brands are on my list. The LS dealer closer to my property seems more likely to be fair. I liked both guys...one thing I liked was that at both LS stores I spoke with the owner. Kubota dealer is much closer to my property...under 10 miles. Spoke with the Sales Manager. Right now I am slightly leaning toward TYM or Branson. My LS dealer also sells TYM and Zetor. Ultimately, I will choose the models and features I want in each line and have the dealerships make me their final out the door offer. The best Value will ultimately decide my choice.

Have researched extensively and still can’t decide. Kubota bx2380 or ls mt122. Price is within a couple hundred dollars. Dealers both seem to be pretty good. Like the name recognition of the kubota but not a huge fan of the treadle pedal. Good possibility that this we be a sell it in 5 yrs type of purchase. Any experience or input on these 2 tractors is much appreciated.

I would go with Kubota if you’re considering selling the tractor down the road. The orange paint and it’s reputation will be beneficial.

While many of us prefer two pedals, myself included, I simply hook my right foot under the pedal to reverse. It’s not nearly as awkward using your heal and is surprisingly comfortable and easy to do.

Which LS dealer? Did you ask how long they have been selling LS tractors in NE TX? Which Kubota dealer? We use Central in Corsicana and Athens Tractor.

Coker LS in Tyler. Pittsburg Kubota in Alba....we are almost to I 30, so those others are not close.

I forget who I talked to at Coker, but he was Great. I probly would have ended up with a TYM if I could have gotten 0% financing, but all I could get from the TYM or LS was 6%. Yikes. But I really liked the folks. Been around a while, and have a great reputation.

If you don’t mind a 2 hr trip I bought my Kubota from Ausra. Their Kubota dealerships are in Niles and new store being built in Stevensville. Maybe they can sell and service from Wayland location? Family owned operation and sales and service have been great.
