The wife and I went down to the dealer this AM to Place the order for an L3130, implements etc .
I walked in the door and the salesman greets me with " It'll all be here in about 1 1/2 -- 2 weeks !
I was wondering if I'd wandered into a psychic tractor dealer .
Turns out the wife had sheet I'd spec'd out went down and ordered it ! I asked her why she let me drive all the way down there . " I felt like going for a ride . and I wanted to see the look on your face " /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif John

John,

THAT is SO FUNNY!

ON Friday 5030 was in town and in our travels we happened to stop at the Kubota dealer...

I asked Kevin if you bought your tractor yet, and he told me you two were still trying to get together...

He even mentioned that he was not the kind of guy to nag a customer, and that you would get there when you were ready!

Not a hint about a "sneaky wife... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif"

Glad to hear you will soon be polishing the new machine. Hope you will be washing it too...a good sign that you are getting some good use out of it!

The real test is her reaction when you wreck something with your new tractor /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

You're thinking it can't happen, right???

Glad to report my wife took it in stride when I backed my backhoe boom throught a 4x6 window last year shortly after getting the tractor and doing the daily "new tractor wash" ritual... /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Forgot I had the stick extended so I could wash out the bucket easily... /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Gee...maybe I got one afterall!

I had been looking at tbn on my wife's computer...and just left the tbn screen up...

She sees the title of the thread and thinks I'm telling you guys about her!!!

That's because she sometimes comes down the basement stairs when I'm in the shop...with my wireless-connected laptop reading tbn on a break... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

After a bit of explaination...she now sees it's John that has the "sneaky connection..." /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Bill (Henro),

You are a big man to be able to admit that one! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I think I might keep something like that to myself.

Since reading this, I've driven to all the Kubota dealers within 150 mile range and asked if MY wife had ordered me a new tractor. They just looked at me. Well, it was worth a try.

Bill , You could have knocked me over with a feather when kevin just looked at me and told me it was pretty much on the way /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
With the wife working in Pittsburgh and me working about about 14 hrs a day on a couple of "must have yesterday " pole buildings . We haven't been able to find the time to even call Kevin during the week .
Correction to that last statement ...... I haven't been able to find the time /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif I'm pretty sure the wife wants the machine as much or more than me ! She loves mechanical things and working out side . I asked her what she really wanted for her birthday in July . She though about it for 2 seconds and said
" My own CHAIN SAW " So, now I have my saw Stihl 044 , and she has Hers , Husky 346 Xp . I believe I've got ahold of a pretty good lady . John ( )
