On top of all of this I originally picked e cut.out a BX2200 to purchase for our new hobby farm and she declared it was too small and insisted I purchase a bigger tractor (B7500).
She has me a little worried, after 19 yrs it thought I had her figured out. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif )</font>

New Tex,
He was talking about getting a 2910 and i saw it and said he should get the bigger one (L3130) because I know him in a few years he would want a bigger one so why not just eliminate the hassel of going back to the dealer and get the BIG one now. By the way what is a Plasma Cutter? It sounds interesting /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif If it is really cool i will con him in to buying me one.

Sounds like Cerberus has one special woman there.
Besides most of us already have OUR OWN tractor /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Frank , I actully had a momentary lapse . I said NO .
But then she may want to get her own tractor someday .
I'll do my best to steer her toward a Bx 22 . After all , it comes with it's very own digger thing /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif John

Janelle:
You sound like you know your husband and urging him to get the bigger tractor now probably saved you a ton of money in the future as you have discribed.
My wife came from a little different prospective. We had to give up everything we dearly loved execpt our kids 4 yrs ago when we had to move California due to my job. When we found out we were moving back and found out we were going to do very well on our house we decided that we would replace everything we had down to re-aquiring some of her original pygmy herd goats that she gave up. (Two of them have Oklahoma State Champion ribbons to go with them.) I in turn have been given the chance to replace my Case/IH tractor that I had to sell. She just wanted to make sure that I got what I wanted cause you can bet she will have another herd of 30 goats before it is all said and done. (And that is ok by me, I will gladly go and fetch what ever she buys) Goats are easily replaced compared to the loss she suffer when her father passed away while we were living 1400 miles away.

Back to the Plasma cutter; It is a really easy way to cut metal free handed without building up heat like a cutting torch. It is kinda like using a razor blade on a styrofoam cup. It just zips through it with very presise cut. She is planing on making yard oranaments and metal art work that can be sold in front of the house at a road side stand. The technology has been around for many years but only recently became affordable to the hobby user. They start at around $1000 to whatever you want to spend or the thickness you want to cut.

Good luck.

done with looking at Computor screens /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
BTW .. the 3130 arrives at the dealer next Wed .. With luck it'll be ready for the weekend . I just get the feeling one of us will be following the tractor saying " MY TURN !! MY TURN !! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
