I am having a 50x50 shop being built. They have the forms set. I already put in the pipes for a future toilet and sink and ran a conduit for the lectrical coming in. Any thing else I should consider putting in before they pour the slab?
How about a drain in the floor if you are ever going to hose it out or for anything that might leak..also a pvc pipe maybe 2" going to the outside from wherever you envision ever wanting to run wires or anything to the outside.
Possibly a floor drain if you ever get the hankering for washing a vehicle inside. Sounds like you will have water in there so there is always the chance.
They sell pvc floor drains, I'd add one in the center plus make sure the door areas slope outward to shed rain, snow...it's anoying to have to keep a squeege around to clear the floor b/4 working on the equipment you just brought in from the rain...
I worked at the corner gas station as a teen and the first snow fall, bringing in everyone who needed snow tires & chains mounted had us pushing the squeege across the whole shop every time.
If you can get a car in then I would consider at least two drains, and also a conduit for other wires like a phone and network cables that you would not want with your electricity. I have a newly built 28x32 shop/garage and I sometimes wish I had thought of that before.
