What to do with used hydraulic fluid

Yeah, but that isn't an issue with burying them, or even having a stack of a few dozen.

I have heard of people in desert areas intentionally burying then to capture what little rain they get,

Until the next day when black soot is covering everything. I won't burn tires but sometimes it gets to the point where you need to do something. Wife and I bought a property that was essentially abandoned. Rims with tires everywhere. Had many fires that I did not like burning. Still more cleaning left to do. Need a scrap dumpster another 30 yard plus plus dumpster. The previous dumpsters were 20? I believe.

I cleaned up a barn fire that probably had 100 tires inside. There wasn’t black soot anywhere. You’d have never known besides the cords that were left.

I recently bought a property that had a bunch of tires on it. It cost me $80 to dump this load at the county recycling place. It’s $130 a ton if you dump over 6 at once and $1 each if you’re dumping under 6. The $1 each is a better deal. I didn’t count the ones I hauled off but there’s probably 40-50 on there not 80.

Those dump fees are why most people just throw them in the county road ditches... I think we can dump 5 tires per year per address for free at the county dump, and then it's $5/tire after that. I dont know how closely they track your addresses yearly total, or if you can come back next weekend with 5 more, or what

Back to hydraulic fluid.

Can this be stored for a while so any sediment settles, then filtered and blended into diesel fuel?

It could be for sure.
Question is do you care about small amounts in your fuel system?
Good Luck!

I had read/heard you could use old motor oil/hyd oil on the wood of a trailer to extend its life. I am planning to do that with mine and then pour the remaining onto a brush pile i plan to burn.
