What tool did Santa bring you?

I am the tool Santa. My wife does the nonsense shopping, clothes etc... and I buy tools for the kids each Christmas. I start looking in the summer and generally get the 50% deal of the day tools.

At this point all three kids have a well stocked four drawer tool box with day to day tools, so the specialty tools were on the list this year. Plumbing was the theme. Basin wrench, plumber socket set, pipe cutter and very large channel locks. Told them they may only need each of those tools once or twice but they are nice to have in the tool box.

Starting to be able to show up at their homes to help them without bringing my tools.

A long time ago I use my wife's good scissors and sewing machine to make a fitted camouflage cover for our air conditioner condenser out of a heavy tarp. The cover turned out great. The scissors and sewing machine.... not so good. I got forgiven several years later. :laughing:

Nothing really. Not into consumerism. My lady friend got a bunch of gift baskets from contractors and gave me much of the stuff. I guess, nothing bad happened. What more can you ask for?

I get it... a bit tired of it too. We have cut way back and wife and I don't exchange. We treat each other other times during the year on more of a spontaneous way. Sort of hard to watch the grandkids rip into so many little toy gifts that are simply plastic junk.

GF and I got each other concert tickets. She has bought me tools in the past only for me to take it back because I already had that tool.
Usually, if I need a tool for the job, I just go buy it
