What type hydraulic fluid is everyone using on their tractor

I've a '95 M4600 and a '07 B7610. In the '95 I run a good spec from Tractor Supply. in the '07 I run UDT/2.

I use Chevron Synthetic All Weather THC in both mine and it comes dyed orange of all things. Chevron THC exceeds the Kubota spec btw. It ain't cheap either, though NAPA was running a sale on it so I grabbed a few 5 gallon pails of it.

My philosophy about hydraulic fluid is, because it not only provides the oil for the hydraulics, it also lubricates the gears and wet clutch packs as well as the brakes so I NEVER cheap out and both mine are pushing antique status and I've had no issues ever. I only use genuine Kubota filters as well.

Kubota gave me filters and UDT free for my 50 hr, but I put SUDT2 the last two times. Tractor cost me 51k in 2012 and I'm not going to try and save money now.

I just buy the dealer fluid for anything I care about. It’s not much different in price for a quality alternative.

Actually, the Chevron All Weather THC Synthetic I use costs more than SUDT2 and it has performed very well in my M9 Kubota's and as an added bonus, it comes pre dyed so you can see it. I'm always concerned with extreme cold weather 'flowability' as well as hot weather viscosity and the Chevron excels in those aspects. It is kind of hard to get however. I get mine through my lubricants jobber but NAPA also sells it special order.

UDT2 and they are proud of it. When i spoke to our oil supplier they checked and could not come up with a cross. Its in there best interest to find one and they said use the UDT2 so.....

Because Kubota fills the front drive axle with SUDT or UDT and 85-140 or 85-90 GL4-5 provides a better lubrication environment. Simple answer actually. As a rule, every time I change the main transmission lubricant, I change the front axle oil as well.
BTW, Chevron All Weather THC synthetic meets or exceeds the Kubota spec for UDT or SUDT and Chevron plainly states that on their website and on the 5 gallon pail or in the drum depending on how you buy it. Myself, I buy it by the 55 gallon drum in as much as changing both of my Kubota's requires 35 gallons plus I need it on hand for make up as every time I change implements, the quick disconnects weep a bit of oil and I use all 4 disconnects most of the time.
Kind of like why people never change their differential lubricants in their buggies and at some point, bad things happen because the lubricant get loaded with impurities or moisture and seals fail or worse. Even GM recommends changing the hypoid oil at 60K miles in their vehicles and I just changed both the rear diff and the front diff in my wife's Burb. Do the same with my pickup truck, both front and rear at 50K.
