What type hydraulic fluid is everyone using on their tractor

My ongoing philosophy about fluid and oil changes and filters is... The least expensive thing you will ever do to a tractor, car or truck is change the fluids in a timely manner. Exponentially much less expensive than rebuilding an engine or a transmission even though inflation has increased the price of lubricants and filters but still much less expensive than rebuilding mechanical components from depleted lubricants.

I've used UDT for over 30 years in all my Kubota HST tractors. Now, it's time to change the hyd. oil on my L6060 & MX5800 and my dealer only stocks Super UDT2. They say UDT needs to be special ordered. Is UDT being phased out? SUDT2 is twice the price (It will cost $1300 for 2 tractors). Is it really worth the extra $$

Somewhere on my computer I have a file showing comparison in cold flow between SUDT (before SUDT2) and UDT. The major gain was in cold operation, where most wear occurs unless oil gets really hot and that’s really bad. Having worked for a major equipment manufacturing company in engineering, working with our Chem Products Group, I get very cautious about other lubes although my tractors have New Holland 0W-40 synthetic in their engines and Caterpillar ELC in cooling systems. Even oils developed with our supplier went through a service center for final filtering, testing, and packaging before arriving at our plant or being packaged for consumers. So all of my Kubotas (5 of them) run Kubota transmission oils.
