What type Muck Boots?

My daughter bought me a pair of 15" Muck field blazers from Cabela's to match hers. They are for hunting in wetlands in Maryland. Very good for that and good for down to about 10 deg. F. I wore them the other day wearing snow shoes tapping trees.

We had a 16" snow a few weeks ago and my Muck boots are only 12" tall. Sometimes I got snow in my boots. So I am looking at getting some taller ones for me and my wife. Only problem is they now have too many choices. I looked at the local stores but they are mostly sold out. The most common remaining in the stores was the Wetlands type. Online the Muck Chore boots have a better price and look to be the ones I will buy. I told my wife that if we got a good pair of boots they would last us twenty years which will put us in our eighties and then somebody else can get out and shovel snow for us.

My question is, does any female out there own a pair of Mucks and which ones do you like?

What boots?

Hands down: Sorels.

If they don't go high enough, get get some gaters to cover the boot's upper and your lower leg.

For lighter stuff I wear Merrell high top version of their Shiver Moc.

I have worn the wetlands for the last 3 seasons. Super comfortable & seem quite durable. I love them & will certainly buy them again. The only drawback to me is that I don't think they are warm enough. My next pair will be the artic pro for the cold days, either pair should serve you well. -good luck.

I love my Arctic Sports. They have all but retired my pac boots. I actually am considering buying a pair of shorter, lighter ones for warm weather- seething like the Chore or Wetland model.

I buy the lacrosse 18" burly. I don't like a shorter boot. Our 21 inches of snow went over them but it's not every year that happens.

The 16" Muck Chore boots I have are comfortable enough... to a point. They feel good on my feet, they're warm enough for daily chores, although I need something heavier for extended time in sub-zero weather, they keep my feet clean and dry in any conditions, but... they tend to wear a hole in the Achilles on my wool socks. It seems to come from where the neoprene uppers join the rubber lowers. I've noticed that the lining has a hole worn in the same spot on the boots. This has never been an issue with boots with leather uppers. I think leather is more flexible and moves with the body more readily, as it creates natural folds and creases in flex zones. Neoprene definitely feels like it tugs more when I move.

Perhaps I'm just too active for such a stiff boot.

Wife struggled with the relatively high price of Muck-brand boots and thus denied herself a pair for several years. Finally broke down and got some at Tractor Supply when they were on sale. The "Tack Classic" I believe. Now she is sorry that she didn't pull the trigger much sooner. Very comfortable, even for long periods, easy on and off. She loves 'em.

I have six or seven pairs;wear them year round.Just get the tallest they make and the temperature rating that you are going to use them at.

Mucks are fine.........but...........my wife's chore boots, the second pair and the first both developed cracks around the ankles where they flex.........She wears them perhaps 4 hours per day doing barn work. We decided to try "Bogs" boots as they have a reputation of NOT doing the crack and tear routine...........god bless......Dennis

Muck "Chore" boots here too...and Bogs for low cuts.
Muck boots are easy on and off (important to me)...fairly warm but the right socks are essential.
