Well , If It's what I'm thinking of and wore , It's a sort of big floppy rag hat that was worn in SEA. It came in a lot of colorsw as long as it was camo /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif John
I found this on Sunday also..... cut my mowing time down to ZERO..... then it rained, so only have the lawn is mowed. Don't even know where it came from, but the magnets in the mower deck drew it in.... /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif
I did the same thing with a section of wire fence someone made a tube out of. I guess to keep animals out of some plant. Broke the drive pulley on top of the mower deck. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I cut the rope off and then gave it a quick try out. There seems to be no damage that I can see. Time to take the blades off and inspect further, but that isn't on the top of my list right now. Too many things to do and so little time to do them... /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
Let me pass along some advice....if anybody has a gas powered chipper they use for shredding leaves, be very sure you don't leave your gloves, hat, bungees, etc. on the ground.
Leaves blow around, and it's easy to rake up an article of clothing and feed it into the hopper of the chipper.
I wasted an hour one time, taking the impeller of my machine apart when it ate a nearly new pair of expensive leather gloves and could not digest them....
