- 2001 John Deere 790 4x4, bar tires
I have a few to mention....
1) A nice (but rusty) pond scoop for $90 made by A & B EagleLine (sold new for about $500, that's what A & B told me anyway). It was found on a local market bulletin put out by our state dept of ag. I cleaned the pond scoop up, painted it, and then wound up trading even for a Leinbach cultivator.
2) A brand new standard duty boom pole for $35 from a local tractor repair shop that was going out of business.
3) A 7ft x 9 John Deere Van Brunt grain drill (in not too bad of a shape but needed some work) that was given to me by a neighbor who just wanted it out of the barn he was fixing up. Their family got out of farming years ago. I sold it for $250.
4) Just missed a three for one deal on CL for an old John Deere disc harrow ($100), a 50 gal 3pt sprayer with 8ft booms and PTO pump ($250), and a set of 3pt forks with adjustable width ($100). Could have probably gotten all three for about $400 or less. The ad came out on Monday, I finally called yesterday and all three were sold on Wednesday. Should have called last Tuesday, but I could have only gotten the sprayer and the forks in my truck. My trailer is 70 miles from here, so that's why I hesitated on calling.
5) Bought a Howse 4ft landscape rake for $100 off of CL, sold it through CL for $150 I believe. Been a few years ago so not real sure now.
6) Oh yeah, bought my 2001 790 through CL for $9700!!! Best deal yet!! Right after I called about it, another buyer called the seller but he said it had a sale pending. This other buyer started offering more money trying to get him to back out on me, but the seller was a man of principles and held it for me till I got there!!
