what was your first tractor?

I'm a newbie. My first tractor was the Kubota B2710 listed in my signature, bought new in 2000. I still have all the tractors I've ever owned (not that that's saying much)!

Ford 861 Powermaster Gas and the first new one I bought was a 2003 Jinma 254/284.

I bought a 224 Jinma in 2002 and kept it a year. Got some use out of it but bought a Kubota after I sold that one. I'll stick with what I have now. Nothing deragatory, nuff said.

A 1969 IH 504 gas tractor named Darlene. I did a mountain of work with it the first year we bought our 80 acre farm.

My first tractor was a Ford 1210 4WD that I still have to this day. Bought it with 189 hours on it in 1989. Any more, it just bush hogs and moves a little snow. Occasionally I will put a box blade on it to move some dirt and regrade the driveway.

About 2 months before my Dad passed, I cleaned it up and was going to sell it. He just sat there and watched and when I was done he said, " It would be foolish to sell that thing. You can never maintain this place ( 5 acres) without it."

A guy can never underestimate the wisdom of their father. He was so right.

John Deere Model 70 diesel. If I remember correctly it was 379 cubic inches in two cylinders with a 9" bore and 7" stroke. PTO speed was 1100 RPM. I didn't pick it. It came with a horse farm we leased for several years. I was a young pup then. These old John Deere two cylinders get in your blood if you have ever had the opportunity to work one. When you lug them down you can watch each tire make a half turn every time one of those big cylinders fire.

The 1st was a chain drive Ford pedal tractor; even had fake spark plug wires. The rear drive ran circles around the traction limited standard tricycle on the grass and the sand driveway, as well on the little old lady's sage broom maintained sand yard next door. Then a late 1951 side distributor 8N, then I purchased a new 750 John Deere in 87, then a 1925HST Boomer New Holland in 1997, which I still Have, but really should offer for sale. My latest is a Kubota B3030 cab model.

My first tractor belonged to my Dad and I began operating it when I was ten years old. It was a 1941 John Deere B. We had two of them and these did our farmwork for a number of years until my Dad purchased a bigger tractor. The tractor I loved to run the most was our neighbor's Ford 8N which was brand new at the time.

The first tractor I owned was a 1965 International 504 with Koyker FEL & BB. I chose to be a carpenter instead of a farmer and used this in my home construction business for 23 years.

Now that I am retired, I have a 2007 John Deere 3320 which I use for mowing, snow removal and a lot of misc. tasks. The JD B is waiting for restoration. The 504 is tired and hasn't been used much since the 3320 was purchased. I've always had a passioin for cars, pickups and tractors.

I consider the 580B backhoe my dad had as my first tractor, at least I was responsible for greasing and fueling it when it got hauled home at night. I guess I was about ten then. I remember crying when we ended up having to sell it.

I guess the first tractor that was all mine was my yanmar 1500D

My first was a JD60 with a Dual loader in 1987. Second was a NAA in 1988, that one lasted two weeks went to change the gear oil and all the rear bearings came out. Third was a 9N in 1988. Fourth Tractor is a IH1066. Traded the 9N on a DX25E last year, then traded in the JD60 and the DX25E on the T2220 this year.

Down to two tractors now.

First tractor I drove was our 1956 John Deere 60, I was 8 yrs old and was in heaven.
Pa let me drive it picking up hay. I could pull the hand clutch and stand on the brakes.

The first tractor I can call mine was the 1961 Allis Chalmers B-1 garden tractor that mom talked dad into buying so I could take care of 2 acres of lawn and an acre of gardens. I still have it and it will still out work any modern "garden" tractor like Sears or anything from the box stores.

I could list all the tractors we had on the farm because I considered them to be mine, but that would take up too much space.

I now have a Kioti CK 20 HST and work her hard and she never complains, as long as I keep her full of #2 diesel, and 10w40 synthetic.

A 195? Allis Chalmers WD45. Loved that tractor but with all the newer tractors having 3pt systems, I had to sell her a few years ago and upgrade. Even happier with the newer Manhindra with FEL and front wheel assist. The WD45 had a tricycle front end and would spin on a dime. It was great for certain jobs and a little scarry on others. I really wanted a FEL and per my granddad he would never put a FEL on a narrow front tractor, so even though he had passed away over 20 years before I got my tractor I headed his advice and never put one on it. Thus another reason I sold her and upgraded.

First tractor I drove was when I was teenager in the mid 60's...Was my Dads Ford 9N...Was a 6 volt machine with overdrive...The first tractor I owned was a Kubota B5100 4x4 with loader...Well built little unit, sipped fuel and should have kept it for occasional use/fun...Presently I have my BX23 TLB.

We had a Farmall and then a Case on the farm when I was growing up. Used to also drive my Grandpa's Farmall B.

My first to own was a Gravely 5665, 12 hp. It was a man eater but did what I needed to get done for the first 2 or 3 years here. Now have a JD 4010 CUT which does all I need to do.

1972 Economy Powerking. That's my son on it.

Traded it around 1982 for the 1910 I still have. I wish I'd kept the Powerking just as an antique now.

The first tractor I operated (from age 9) was my father's 1951 TO-20. It's the old and tired tractor shown in the first photo below. My next real tractor was a 1954 NAA I bought when I bought my property. I also bought a Jacobsen T2000 Turf Truck and worked them as a team for fence building. I also own a rare Oliver 105 Town & Country. Finally, I have a tractor Jack. Does that count?

I also have a NH TC45D that people have seen so many pictures of that they would groan loudly if I posted another one.
