What would you..

Lots of good suggestions and a few that I wouldnt care for like anti-lock brakes. BTDT with the old tractors with bad brakes that wouldnt stop or lock the wheel. When you brake with a tractor, you want the ability to lock that wheel tight, we arent doing high speed stops.
Remove the electro engagement PTO or at least allow for clutch feathering in to prevent that sudden snap to all the drive lines including the tractors. That cant be a good thing.
TOOL BOX- all the old iron had one, why do they not design and place one on todays tractors(a very few have them) that is large enough to carry something larger than a 6" screwdriver or a pair of gloves.

I cant complain about lighting on any of my tractors but many of them have very poor lighting on front and none at all on the rear. Fronts on some are so dim that you need a flashlight to look at them to see if they are burning. Why not use HID or LED lights and put on an alternator big enough to run them like minimum 60 amp not 20 like some tractors have.
CABS: Why do they think that only 40HP and above owners need a cab. I think they should design them so that even a BX could have a heated and cooled cab if owner is willing to fork out the bucks.

While electronics are nice, I dont think that everything on a tractor needs to be electronic. Nice analog gauges worked for many decades and would still be better than an idiot light only like on todays tractors (and cars). Kinda like cars, at least make gauges an option rather than lights only. Gauges I would like are 1)*ammeter along with idiot light 2)Hydraulic oil temp gauge would be good to have also 3) *motor oil pressure gauge with idiot light 4) Hydraulic oil pressure 5) *coolant temp with idiot light 6)4WD indicator light (my LS has one but not my Kubota) Differential lock indicator light (my LS has one of these also but not the Kubota) Parking brake flashing light to remind you to release the brakes.
* Light in addition to gauges. Light should flash when abnormal conditions occur to bring operators attention to the problem

Tilt and Telescopic steering wheel would be great. Both my tractors have tilt but not telescoping wheel. It seems that when I get my seat back far enough for my legs to be comfortable, the steering wheel is too far from me.

I am sure I will think of more items later but those are practical ones to put on and most were available at one time on many tractors.

Expanding on Gary's theme, I'll add the following; power mirrors, adjustable pedals, and a 2-person memory setting for seat, mirror, and steering wheel adjustments like near-luxury and luxury cars have.

Four wheel drive indicator light;at least on Kubotas ,others may offer this already.

I've already done that along with a few other things :D

- Modified the FEL tubes for storage area's by machining custom caps for the tubes.

- Modified the truck plow to adapt to the tractors FEL.

- Modified the bucket by adding a top guard and hooks.

- Added custom built emergency light bar and LED emergency light to the top of the cab.

- Added L.E.D. strobe lighting to the rear of the snow blower and built custom boxes to house them in.

- Added custom build boxes to the plow so Super Nova L.E.D. strobe lights could be installed adding extra lighting to the FEL side on when plowing.

- Added a reverse beeper. (not a small task on these tractors)

- Added a reverse camera with a color 7" LCD monitor that is also inferred and has a built in microphone in the camera it's self. The camera was adapted to the top rear light making it appear that it was always there.

- Gauge pods were added to each side of the LCD monitor and an ambient air temperature and digital volt gauge was added to each pod.

- Two RAM mounts were added in the cab for mounting various items like my phone and MP3 recorder. Also a new mount was just installed for the new IPhone 4

- A moisture sensing system was adapted to the wiper system so when I'm using the tractor the wipers will work automatically when snow or water is present on the windshields. That way I don't need to be switching the wipers on and off myself. The system takes care of that for me.

- Mud flaps were added to the front fenders to help keep the water off the front glass when traveling the machine.

- All powder coated upper mud flap hardware was removed and replaced with stainless hardware.

- All common steel hardware that was present on the snow blower was replaced with stainless steel to prevent corrosion.

- Some custom badging and company lettering was added to the tractor.

- Custom trim was added to the rear fenders to give it a more refined look.

- Added a parking brake warning light. Well a better one that came with the tractor

- The rear factory lollipop top lights that came with the tractor were replaced with L.E.D. lollipop lights.

- Added a few cool rubber holders on the snow blower to hold a shovel and bar.

- A LED light was added to the cab step so it's easy to see where to place your feet in the dark.

- Fabricated a custom coffee mug holder.

- Designed and fabricated a front bumper with quad flashing LED lights and shackle Center.

- Fabricated an aluminum forward light bar and installed a LED light on it including two side mounted LED alley lights

- Designed and built an LED 4X4 display indicator for the cab.

- Designed a custom LED mount for the snowblower chute. Installed two LED lights on the chute so I could early see where the snow is going.

- Designed and fabricated an exhaust stack conversation kit to for the Kubota Grand L 5740 HST-C3.

- Replaced the stereo system with a Sony X-Plod and Infinity speakers.

- Installed an air horn.

- Added a power plug for charging cell phone at the dash.

- Added rear wheel weights and fabricated custom Center caps for them.

- Custom fitted the floor to accept a new Grammer Air Ride seat.

- Added a rear view mirror

- Added a shock to the front snow blade to eliminate blade recoil after hitting obstacle.

Hey, 4Shorts, got any room left in the cab for the operator? Photos of all that would be nice to see, although I dont think I would have the time, inclination or money to put much of that in my tractor. A rear camera would be nice and I have thought about that a lot since I cant turn my neck to see behind me. First I need to put one in my truck.
My Wife would have a hissy fit at spending that kind of money on my tractor to do all the stuff that you did. You should go hug your wife several times for allowing all that stuff to be done and not complaining (assuming she didnt complain too loudly)

4 Shorts: I just thought of another reason the wife might let you do all that work on your tractor, MAYBE she just wants you to get out of her hair and stay in the shop. I know mine tells me sometimes to "just go play in your shop"

An RPM gauge for the PTO.
An GPH gauge for fuel consumption.

Massey Ferguson has that on all their tractors equipted with the dynashift transmission.

On my tractor, the clutch is used to engage and disengage the PTO. I realize this isn't true for all hydro tractors, but it's true for mine.
My LS has gear drive so therefore a clutch but it doesnt engage or disengage the PTO which is a bummer. To stop or start I have to push or pull a knob to energizea an electronic switch. My B26 doesnt have a clutch just a lever to engage the PTO again no clutch to feather it in. Not a big deal for me on it because I dont plan to take off the backhoe as long as I have the LS. I just dont understand why tractor mfgs. started putting these instant on PTO switches and levers. Seems like a good way to twist off the drive shafts on the equipment or worse on the tractor.
