what year of Kubota?

Does any one know what year a 3710 Kubota would be with serial number 71015? I believe it maybe a 2001 but not certain. Thanks in advance for the help.

How did you find your info? You even found out when I bought it! I called the place where I purchased it and gave them the serial number and they still couldn't find the year. Thanks for the help.

Lots of posts on TBN about what "year" a tractor is - Kubota considers it to be the year during which it is first sold at retail. Given a serial number, they freely offer that info to dealers (and sometimes directly to customers). Some machines are in inventory a while before they are sold. For popular models there isn't much inventory time, but for some models it can be 1-2 years or even more. I don't think Kubota offers date-of-manufacture info.

Go to kubota.com. listed under products, there is " prior products". I see a L3710 for 1998; if this is any help.

We are dealers and have access to that information, as does any other dealer. It is on a secure site, so you can't go there. Your dealer can give you or any police organization this information. Remember, less than 15% of stolen tractors are recovered. Our dealearship tries.

mike, Kubota lists 41 pages of stolen equipment, with 40 on each page, so theft is a problem. Of course, remember that if they steal your tractor, they get whatever isattached. IE. fel, box blade, cutter. If you are concerned, contact your local auto theft task force for suggestions concerning your particular area. Since I'm in east texas, most of the stolen's go to Mexico, or are sold at auctions in texas, okla, or la. It definately is a problem, especially if it is not covered by your home owners insurance. I can, as can any service manager, give you many horror stories.
