Our church yard has a couple of large trees and gets lots more leaves than our yard does. Suppose I should get mulch blades for it, but its not been a issue here.

I’ve had a mulch setup on about every mower I’ve had. You about have to get a discharge chute block off and baffles for it to work correctly.

My opinion on mulch setups is that don’t work well if the grass is wet. They actually cut fine it just gunks up the deck. They also don’t work well if the grass is really long. I don’t think anything works well if the grass is long since a regular deck will leave a windrow of cut grass from the discharge.

Seems they are not. Whatever came with the machine.
Check out Gator blades, generally preferred by those trying to mulch dry leaves into a lawn.

Looks like Ego offers a mulch kit for this machine which appears to be just a plug and mulching blades. Anything to hold the leaves in the chamber longer will help with the mulching.

Ya, I just seen that as well. Might get it.

I tried mulching blades on my zero turn a few years ago. I hated them. They created a massive dust cloud whenever I mowed across an area with exposed dirt. I also didn't care for the grass looked with them.

Use Gator blades on my Cub Cadet ZTR. Block off the deck discharge with a piece of 5/4x6 deck plank. Drilles holes in each end and use tarp strap to secure it to the pully covers. I pass through leaves to chop them up coarse and then final pass to make itty-bitty pieces. Works good for me.

Knocked down our 4 acres today. Maybe for the last time? Took a little under three hours. Some isn't what I'd consider "manicured", so it's pretty rough.

I went with a gasser because I wanted a 72" deck
